Keep Calm and Recharge

Did you see the story in the “Morning Rounds” segment of CBS This Morning on Thync, the triangular device that attaches to your head to give you a low dose of electric current? It’s designed to boost your energy or relieve stress and recharge your mood. According to the developer, you should wear it 10-20 minutes per session and no more than 60 minutes per day. Questions remain as to its actual effectiveness or long term effects.
In a world of traffic, chaotic schedules, meetings, sporting events, and busy church agendas, we are a society of people looking for something to keep us motivated or calm. Sometimes we attempt to achieve this through a specialty latte or a yoga class.
It causes me to stop again and remember that we will do our best ministry work when we are inspired by the Holy Spirit and calmed by His presence. We only need to stop and quiet ourselves before Him. He is our best ministry coach.
